Hello Mysidians! I am back with another tournament report. Below I will break down the stream into all the matches with timestamps so you can go back and watch matchups that you find interesting. Below the stream information, I also have compiled the Top 8 deck lists from this 77-player tournament. Let’s get into it.
Disclaimer: The player names were mostly in Japanese, and while they often said some of them out loud, I didn't want to botch it, so I may not use player names in the descriptions below.
Hello Mysidians! I am trying something new this week, a tournament report! Below I will break down the stream into all the matches with timestamps so you can go back and watch matchups that you find interesting. Keep in mind The Break Zone interviewed the winners after each match, so check them out for more insight on the match and the deck the winner ran. Below the stream information, I also have compiled a list of the Top 32 decks that qualified for Day 2 of the event to compete in the Draft portion of the tournament. Finally, I made up each Top 8 deck list on FFDecks for you to check out!
Before we get into it, I just want to congratulate Mathew Okimoto on his 3rd Crystal Cup victory this season, what incredible dominance. I also want to send a big congratulations to Emmanuel Onate for making the Finals and qualifying for Worlds! All while playing a creative deck we don’t see too much of. Finally I want to shout out The Break Zone for an awesome stream, RB for her hard work Gunslinging and managing parts of the event, Samsonite Prime for rocking it as Head Judge, and all the Desert Sky Gaming/Arizona peeps that ran one of the fastest and smoothest Crystal Cups of the year.
Welcome back Mysidians! This week I had the pleasure of talking to Mohammad Zaiem Ahmad, a fellow member of Card of Ivalice's FFTCG team. Mohammad has had a very successful year, coming second at the Lightning CC and again almost qualifying for Worlds at Gencon. Mohammad is known for playing a mean Mono Water, but don't peg him for a one trick pony or you'll be sorry. Read on for the full interview with Mohammad!
Hello Mysidians, welcome back to another Meta Report. We haven’t seen too many changes since our last report, but it is nice to keep up with the numbers and observe if any decks are on the rise. Just a reminder for these articles, we only look at tournaments with 17+ players, or five rounds of swiss. I also don’t have information on tournaments that aren’t posted, so always assume this is not the full picture. Alright, lets get into it.
Alex is a FFTCG player from Vancouver, Canada. His favourite Final Fantasy is IV and his favourite Elements are Earth and Ice, although he has a soft spot for fire.
